Ms. Boothby has served as director for the Phoenix Chrysalis Shelter for Domestic Violence and as clinical supervisor for the Chrysalis Shelters in Scottsdale and Phoenix. She has written two short mysteries for Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine, the first of which received a Best First Award and a nomination for an Edgar. She has also co authored an article for Developmental Psychology and co-written a play nominated for a Zony by the Arizona Film, Theatre and Television Association.
